I have had my new AGX9 hearing aids for over a month now and I am writing this to let everyone know how I am doing. I no longer have to ask people to repeat what they are saying. I have been to meetings, parties, and concerts, and I can hear. The fact that I do not have to have my cell phone at my ear in order to hear a phone conversation is wonderful as it comes right into my hearing aids. It is quite the new technology that has my friends and family laughing. My daughter says I need to be careful as people will think I am talking to myself. I absolutely love my new hearing aid. Losing hearing in one ear at age 57 was devastating. I waited a long time before seeking help, and now I’m sorry I waited so long. Not only is the aid easy to wear, but I don’t even know it is there, except for the fact that my hearing has improved 100%. No more reading lips for me at the checkout line; I can hear over the beep of the grocery scanner with no problem. I also used to have issues in crowded restaurants. This device intuitively blocks out the background noise so I can pay attention to friends at the table. It has absolutely has changed my life! Thank you.

I purchased my first hearing aid from Manatee Hearing & Speech Center in 2008. Over the span of five years, adjustments were made to accommodate my active lifestyle and my hearing loss was carefully monitored by both my ENT physician and by your skilled professionals. My hearing aids were very good, but I hoped for something better.



Something better had become available. Last year, I learned about the features of the new Starkey AGX9 hearing aids. Of particular interest were the built in switches which allowed me to raise and lower the volume, the Telecoil telephone feature and, for the theater, the hearing loop switch. I didn’t hesitate to purchase the AGX9 as the original hearing aids couldn’t keep up with my very active lifestyle in our new residence, a senior independent living retirement facility.



Every evening we eat dinner in a dining room and weekly, we enjoy live entertainment and movies, etc. We also attend the theater, visit museums, the zoo, etc. I use the rocker switch to adjust my AGX9 to fit the situation and get instant audio feedback when I make an adjustment. As a bonus, no more buzzing or whistling—the AGX9 fits my needs and I’m so glad I decided to get them.

I have been a patient for a number of years, and have always found Brad Mason to be very helpful, courteous, and always willing to go out of his way to help patients. Recently, I had to bring in my hearing aid to be repaired, after 3 years of use, and there was no question that it would be fixed and sent to me at my vacation, with no charge to me. I was offered via mail and in person, an extended warranty at a reasonable cost, which I did purchase. Meantime, my hearing was evaluated to make sure there were no changes to be made. One could not ask for better treatment.



Also, last year I had occasion to be tested by Dr. Gary Rodriguez, Executive Director. He was very professional and knowledgeable but also very kind and understanding.
